Weldability-Sif introduce new SifCored range

SifCored rutile flux cored welding wire

Latest flux cored welding wires suited for welding in all positions

WELDABILITY-SIF have unveiled a new range of SifCored rutile flux cored welding wires from their Sifbronze brand of welding products. The welding wires, used with DC MIG welding machines, are suited for welding in all positions.

For mild, low allowed and high alloyed steels, products include: SifCored 3E70C-6M; SifCored E71T-1; SifCored E110C-CG; and SifCored E81T1-Ni1.

SifCored 3E70C-6M produces low hydrogen weld metal with excellent mechanical properties when welding mild steel and 490Mpa high tensile steels. Typical mechanical properties include U.T.S (Ultimate Tensile Strength) >600N/mm2 and 510N/mm2 yield strength. It is used for steel tank, bridges, on-site construction and shipbuilding.

SifCored E71T-1 is for welding thin sheet steels and unalloyed or low-alloyed structural steels using CO2 or Argon/CO2 shielding gases. It is designed for use in shipbuilding, offshore and construction applications. Mechanical properties include U.T.S >570N/mm2 and 510N/mm2 yield strength.

SifCored E110C-CG produces a stable and spatter free arc and is used in offshore, pipeline, crane and construction applications where 690N/mm2 yield and 110ksi class high strength steels are used.

SifCored E81T1-Ni1 is used to weld low temperature service steels producing an excellent weld bead easy slag removal and negligible spatter. It often used in offshore applications, and pipeline and pressure vessel construction.

For stainless steels, SifCored E308LT1-1/4 produces a stable and spatter free arc and is used to weld 18%CR, 10%Ni stainless steels where temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius and/or solution treatments are applied. Typical mechanical properties include U.T.S >600N/mm2 and 420N/mm2 yield strength.

SifCored E316LT1-1/-4 provides a stable spatter free arc, producing a smooth weld bead and self releasing slag to weld 18%Cr, 12%Ni, 2.5%Mo 316L stainless steels. With a low carbon content it is possible to obtain high resistance to intergranular corrosion. Typical mechanical properties include U.T.S >570N/mm2 and 430N/mm2 yield strength.

SifCored E2209T1 is designed to weld with a stable spatter free arc, AISI S31803 or EN 1. 4462 duplex stainless steels producing excellent chloride pitting corrosion resistance welds due to the high nitrogen and molybdenum. Typical mechanical properties include U.T.S >670N/mm2 and 850N/mm2 yield strength.

For dissimilar steels, SifCored E309LT1-1/14 is designed to weld together dissimilar metals and can also be used to weld a first layer on mild steel or low alloy steel prior to overlaying. This wire produces a smooth weld bead surface with self-releasing slag and typical mechanical properties include U.T.S >560N/mm2 and 440N/mm2 yield strength.
