Weighment additions made simple
GAME Engineering have launched an ingredient weighments system that automates and operates a batch-weighment system into a mixing and/or blending processes.
Although initially designed for use in the animal feed industry to solve batching and weighment mixing anomalies, following successful trials the system has been tailored for use in the building materials and specialist compound industries. The system can be used to handle micro-ingredient additions, such as pigments and minerals, to the blending process for cement, floor screeds and even gypsum-based products. GAME have designed, built and installed the new micro-ingredients feed system to automatically weigh and transfer ingredients to any mixing/blending system in the process line, as opposed to hand weighing and tipping.
The system consists of up to 10 stainless steel bins; the sizes differ according to specific requirements and the micro-ingredients specifications. Each of the micro-ingredients to be included in the batch mix/blend is automatically weighed and discharged into a central weigh hopper (mounted on load-cells), which is then discharged and blown into the designated mixer/blender. On completion the
system proceeds to make up the next batch. Dust is minimized via a bucket filter and suction during filling, with reverse-jet filters for the mixer/blender top hopper available as an option.
