Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Trucks confirm attendance at CarFest 2015 events in Cheshire and Hampshire

Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Trucks have confirmed their attendance at both of this year’s CarFest events taking place in Cheshire and Hampshire in July and August respectively.

CarFest is a unique festival that blends music, cars, food and camping. Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Trucks will form part of a new feature for this year compiled of large static vehicles. Volvo Construction Equipment will be presenting their latest equipment at the show including a G-series articulated hauler and an H-series wheeled loader.

Volvo Construction Equipment have long been a supporter of Children in Need and each year hold fundraising events across the business to raise money for the charity. Last year saw nearly two weeks of fun events and activities taking place and in the last five years Volvo CE staff have raised over £4,000.

Nick Allen, Volvo CE’s managing director, commented: ‘I have enjoyed taking part in the various Children in Need activities we’ve held over the years and matching the amount raised by staff. I am delighted to be taking this to a new level this year by also supporting CarFest.’

As well as being able to explore Volvo machines on the day, visitors to the event will also have the chance to win exciting prizes in the raffle that have been donated by Volvo Construction Equipment. These include a VIP trip for four to the Volvo CE Customer Centre near Stockholm from raffle tickets sold over the two events and three LEGO Technic models up for grabs at both venues.

Gabrielle Williams, content editor at CarFest, added: ‘We are excited to welcome Volvo Construction Equipment to CarFest this year alongside Volvo Trucks as part of our new feature of large static vehicles. We love having a range of vehicles at CarFest from the eclectic to quirky, F1 to the super-sized. The additions from Volvo Construction Equipment will support the area and we can’t wait to see the display!’

CarFest was conceived by Chris Evans in early 2012 for BBC Children in Need. The six hugely successful, sell-out festivals held to date have wowed more than 265,000 visitors and are now firmly established as one of the summer’s most family-friendly and fun-filled festivals. More importantly the intoxicating mix of amazing cars, great festival food and drink and live music – devised by Chris to create his own personal concept of the perfect festival – have raised in excess of £3.5m for BBC Children in Need so far.
