Heidelberg Materials supply 40 tonnes of asphalt and contracting team to resurface much-used facility

HEIDELBERG Materials' Tytherington Quarry has donated 40 tonnes of asphalt needed to resurface the car park at Tytherington village hall in South Gloucestershire, with the company’s contracting team completing the works in one day to create a safe and durable surface for the much-used facility.

The newly resurfaced car park will significantly improve accessibility for local residents and visitors to the village hall, which hosts a wide range of community events including drama groups, quiz nights, and meetings, as well as private functions.

James Brown, unit manager at Tytherington Quarry, said: ‘We were delighted to be able to help with this project, and we hope it will serve the community for many years to come.’

Richard Williams, chair of Tytherington village hall committee said: ‘We’re very grateful to Tytherington Quarry for their donation and for the hard work of everyone involved in the project. The new car park surface is a fantastic upgrade and will benefit all visitors to the village hall.’
