Trans-Web launch new harnesses for working safely at height
New LITE range gives users even more security, freedom of movement, comfort, and adaptability
TRANS-Web, specialist manufacturers of lifting systems, lashings, and height safety equipment, have launched two new harnesses and a work positioning belt in their LITE safety range, all featuring their innovative Quick Lock Buckle.
Allowing users to work safely at height, the range features class-leading strength with a lightweight design, aimed at maximizing comfort and manoeuvrability.
Now, the LITE Full Body Harness, LITE Rescue Harness and LITE Work Positioning Belt all feature Trans-Web’s new quick-locking buckles.
‘Our LITE range is easy to fit, fully adjustable, and naturally adapts to the user’s body shape for easier mobility. With our latest Quick Lock Buckle, they are more secure than ever and even quicker to put on and take off,’ said Lee Wrigley, director of Trans-Web.
Made from steel, the new Quick Lock Buckles click together like a seat belt. They are released by simultaneously squeezing two tabs on either side of the buckle. As they require both tabs to be fully pressed, they cannot be opened accidentally and thus provide an even higher level of safety and security for the user.
With their lightweight design achieved by using strong polyester webbing, the addition of the new quick-release locking buckles has further improved accessibility and granted the wearer even greater movement and flexibility when working at height.
All Trans-Web’s harnesses adhere to the BS EN 361:2002 standard for full body harnesses. In addition, the LITE Work Positioning Belt complies with the BS EN 358:2018 standard for belts and lanyards for work positioning or restraint.
The LITE Full Body Harness is suitable for most work-at-height activities. It features colour-coded webbing to easily identify areas to adjust, as well as a lightweight textile front and a durable steel D-ring attachment point.
Additionally, the LITE Rescue Harness is fitted with a webbing rescue extension strap for rescue and extraction procedures.
The LITE Work Positioning Belt is used for specific work-at-height activities when the wearer is required to work hands-free. It is lightweight and fully adjustable, with sewn pockets at the rear to allow for any accessory equipment to be connected.
‘Our priority is to supply safety equipment providers with the most effective height safety gear for their customers. By stocking our latest LITE range with the new Quick Lock Buckles, they are not only providing class-leading safety but giving wearers’ greater freedom of movement than ever before,’ concluded Mr Wrigley.
