Total change name to TotalEnergies
Company adopts new name to reflect transformation into broad energy producer and provider
FOLLOWING virtually unanimous approval from shareholders, Total have changed their name to TotalEnergies, thereby anchoring the transformation into a broad energy business within the company’s identity.
Active in more than 130 countries, TotalEnergies produce and market oil, biofuels, natural gas, green gases, renewables and electricity on a global scale. In tandem with their name change, the company has also adopted a brand-new visual identity.
‘Our ambition is to be a world-class player in the energy transition. That’s why Total have transformed and become TotalEnergies,’ commented chairman and chief executive officer Patrick Pouyanné.
The new name and visual identity are said to embody the course the company has charted for itself – that of a broad energy company committed to producing and providing energies that are ever more affordable, reliable and clean.
