Top workplace and employment award for CDE
Company wins Managing Talent accolade for the third year in a row at Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards
CDE Global have recently been awarded the Managing Talent award at the Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards which were held in Belfast. The company was one of 15 winners across a broad range of categories.
Brian McCullough, head of talent and organizational development at CDE, commented: ‘We’re obviously delighted to pick up the Managing Talent award and to win it for three consecutive years is an endorsement of the culture that exists within the organization, and our commitment to continue to give all of our people the opportunity for personal and professional development.’
A key factor in retaining the award is the involvement that CDE have with various professional bodies and the opportunities this provides for Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
This includes: accreditation by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers which offers CDE staff a route to chartered engineer status; and working with bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). CDE have also been accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) as a training centre organization and over the last 12 months the company has introduced its own business academy known as Stride.
Mr McCullough said: ‘We have a unique business model for equipment manufacturers in our sector in which we have direct business development teams in all of the markets where we operate. This has involved extensive recruitment of business development roles in the last 12 months and Stride is the programme that we use to ensure we are able to continue to work in partnership with our customers to specify the most efficient materials washing plant while ensuring minimal environmental impact.’
