Swiss role for UK safety trainer
A BRISTOL-based health and safety training adviser is helping Swiss engineers to get a UK passport – in quarry health and safety.
Chris Wade from the Brunel Training Group travelled to Switzerland last month to put a group of 16 engineers and managers from Ammann Group through their paces during a two-day Quarry Health and Safety Passport course at the asphalt plant manufacturer’s headquarters in Langenthal.
‘The UK is one step ahead of Europe when it comes to health and safety,’ explained Mr Wade. ‘This qualification will enable Ammann’s engineers and managers to comply with UK legislation and work safely in our quarries.’
