Online training course to help improve conveyor operational efficiency now available
MARTIN Engineering have added a new online course to their library of Foundations training programmes designed to help operatives ensure that the operation and maintenance of belt conveyors is cleaner, safer and more productive.
The Operations & Maintenance seminar takes an in-depth look at methods to improve the safety, performance and payback of belt conveyors by controlling fugitive material and optimizing system efficiency. Topics covered include: materials handling basics; conveyor safety; belt alignment and cleaning; transfer point improvement; and dust management.
The online course – which comprises nine course modules and Internet-based quizzes – is suitable for students who have difficulty in scheduling and attending a full-day classroom-based seminar. A certificate of completion will be awarded to trainees passing all course modules.
As with the classroom-based courses, the online training draws material from Martin Engineering’s own reference book – Foundations 4th Edition, The Practical Resource for Cleaner, Safer, More Productive Dust & Material Control.
