SHE Workshops for Smaller Companies

EMP Awarding Body Ltd will be running a series of five free Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) workshops around the UK in June 2008, which will be specifically aimed at smaller companies wishing to explore the opportunities offered by SHE NVQs.

The events will take place in: Nottingham (2 June); Stirling, Scotland (6 June); Rainham, Essex (10 June); Warrington (12 June); and Radstock, near Bath (24 June). Each 3h workshop will run from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Proskills, who are sponsoring the events, will be in attendance at each workshop to provide delegates with help and advice on how to obtain government money to reduce the training costs involved in SHE NVQs.

A member of the Health and Safety Executive with particular responsibility for the quarrying sector (either Roy Bush or Phil Smith) will also be present at each event to inform delegates of the HSE’s priorities for quarries in 2008.
