Serac UK appoint new general manager

Mark Warnes to lead the development and marketing of courses and new training opportunities

LEARNING and training providers Serac UK have appointed Mark Warnes (pictured) as general manager, to drive the company’s development and marketing of courses and assessments for the waste, extractives, facilities management and mineral processing industries.

Mr Warnes, who has more than 18 years’ experience in general management, marketing and business development, primarily gained in the leisure and tourism industry in both the UK and France, said: ‘I’ve built my career in ‘people’ industries and see my progression into the training sector as a very logical move.

Mr Warnes, who will be based at Serac UK’s Norfolk office in Holt, joins the business at a time when Serac is looking to develop new sectors and training opportunities, and to take on additional administration staff.

His appointment is also timely as Don Glaister, Serac UK’s former managing director, has recently taken up the position of chairman.
