Expanded role for Sergio Mauricio Menéndez Medina appointed as president of EMEAA
CEMEX have announced that Sergio Mauricio Menéndez Medina (pictured), current president of CEMEX Europe, has been appointed as president of CEMEX Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA).
He will also oversee the business in the Philippines, Israel, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to his current responsibilities.
Fernando A. González, chief executive of CEMEX, said: ‘I would like to thank our current president of our Asia, Middle East and Africa region, Joaquin Estrada, for his contribution and commitment to CEMEX during his 29 years of service in the company, and wish him success in his new endeavours.’
In addition, Jesus Vicente Gonzalez Herrera, current president of CEMEX in South, Central America and the Caribbean (SCAC), will now also oversee CEMEX’s Global Trading activities, in addition to his current responsibilities.
