Selwood invest £2 million in Hyundai excavators
Pump hire firm upgrades equipment fleet with delivery of 70 new machines as part of business growth strategy

Selwood were the first stockists of Hyundai construction machinery in the UK more than 15 years ago when they invested in a number of R55-3s for their hire fleet and were appointed a distributor in 2001.
Andy Ridgwell, operations manager for Selwood, said. ‘Although this is a large investment in a short space of time, it is important that we continue to increase and update our fleet to meet customer expectations. This year is going well for us and the investment in our fleet is essential for the business to maintain growth.
‘In addition to investing in our hire fleet, we sell around 40 machines a year and this will take our purchases of Hyundai excavators to more than 100 unit in 2014 alone with a value in excess of £4 million.’
He continued: ‘Machines manufactured in South Korea are some of the finest in the world and Hyundai are no exception although some vast improvements have been made in recent years. This has been highlighted by the increase in both the hire and sales of Hyundai machines.’
