Plant manufacturer invests in extension of production facilities in Austria

INCREASED sales, an expanding product line and demand for shorter delivery times are among the key reasons for equipment manufacturers Rockster Recycler to move forward with a third location expansion within 15 years.

Renowned for their mobile waste-recycling and processing equipment, Rockster acquired a 10,000 sq m building in Matzelsdorf (Upper Austria) in January this year in order to double their production capacity.

As part of the relocation, the company name ‘Kormann Rockster Recycler GmbH’ has changed to ‘Rockster Austria International GmbH’ to accentuate and better define the international nature of the company, its needs and future goals.

Wolfgang Kormann, chief executive officer of Rockster, said: ‘Standstill means regression. Continuous development is not only essential in the manufacture of our machinery, but also our own infrastructure has to be adapted according to the innovations and an increased demand.’

As well as the newly expanded workspace, the company also plans on recruiting up to 20 new employees locally. The first machine to be rolled off the assembly line at the new location is the tracked-mounted impact crusher R1000S (pictured) which, according to Rockster, is a highly popular and frequently asked-for crusher model.

‘It is our most technologically advanced mobile crusher and we are highly motivated to deliver one of our bestsellers,’ said Mr Kormann.
