Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS)

THE Silica and Moulding Sands Association (SAMSA), a constituent body of the QPA, is to host a Respirable Crystalline Silica seminar on 22 November 2006 at the Burleigh Court Conference Centre, Loughborough.

The event, which will include a keynote presentation by Dr Michelle Wyart-Remy, secretary general of the Industrial Minerals Association (Europe), will comprise three sessions: Setting the scene; Implementing the European Agreement and the new Workplace Exposure Limit (WEL); and Employee involvement, healthcare and legal aspects.

Meanwhile, for companies with continental European operations, the European Aggregates Association (UEPG) is to hold a half-day silica seminar in Brussels on the afternoon of 27 November 2006.
