Repeat order for Trellex
Six O&K rigid dumptrucks delivered over 15 years ago and fitted with Trellex rubber lining plates have remained in top condition despite hauling more than 30 million tonnes of porphyry, considered to be one of Europe’s toughest and most abrasive minerals.
Gravex Group, who operate 17 quarries throughout Belgium, have relied on Trellex wear plates for over 15 years with many of their fleet of rigid haulers protected with rubber-lined dump bodies. At Porfibel Quarry the dump bodies are regularly checked for wear and tear with the quarry workshop replacing, on average, three individual plates each year. A minimum life span of two years is expected in the main impact area of the dump body, while plates on the sidewalls will each last between five and six years. In the past 12 months Trellex type PP80 and PP100 wear plates have also been supplied to the quarry’s fleet of Faun rigid haulers.
