Rema Tip Top take important step towards decarbonization
Greater energy efficiency with new adhesive systems and solutions production plant in Poing
REMA Tip Top are converting the production of adhesive systems and solutions in Poing, near Munich, to new, innovative processes and technologies that significantly reduce the amount of energy used.
Global system providers of services and products in the field of conveyor and processing technology as well as tyre repair, Rema Tip Top have been producing bonding systems and solutions at their headquarters in Poing for more than 50 years.
With the comprehensive modernization of the production facility and the switch to innovative production processes, the company is now taking an important step towards decarbonization.
Thanks to the new processes, the carbon footprint of the production of adhesive systems and solutions will be reduced and energy consumption will be significantly lowered.
The decarbonization of production and the significant increase in energy efficiency will be achieved by a bundle of different measures, including the use of a modern, fully automated filling system, energy-efficient motors and production technology, the elimination of energy-intensive mixing processes in internal mixers and rolling mills, and a high degree of process automation.
Product packaging has also been given a new, fresh design to match the new, modern production system.
‘By modernizing our infrastructure and processes, we are setting the course for greater sustainability and efficiency in the production of our products,’ said Claudia Niemann, who has responsibility for production and technology at Rema Tip Top worldwide.
