Reliability wins big order
Kent-based Tara Holdings have ordered 40 Bobcat excavators from Barloworld Handling Ltd in a deal worth around £1.2 million. The order follows the recent appointment of Barloworld as the new Bobcat dealer for Kent, London, Hertfordshire and Sussex, extending the company’s existing dealership in East Anglia.
Tara previously ran a mixed fleet of excavators that included Bobcat. The fleet is now being replenished and extended with 20 1.7-tonne 323 mini-excavators and 12 2.5-tonne 325 models. Complementing these are 11 additional excavators comprising a mixture of the new 4.5-tonne 435 ZTS model and the 7.5-tonne 442 excavator. The decision to place the entire order with Bobcat was based on customer preference and the performance of Bobcat models already in the fleet.
