R Collard open new aggregate processing plant
Recycling specialists increase production capacity by 200% with bespoke DUO fixed line
WASTE-management firm R Collard have opened a new DUO plant at their Eversley site in Hampshire, which has increased on-site recycled aggregates capacity by 200%. The fixed line system – which represents an investment value of around £2.25 million – has been specially customized to Collard’s own specifications and design.
With a maximum rated capacity of 250 tonnes/h, the bespoke processing plant will produce high-grade recycled aggregates in a number of different sizes, including: –5mm; +5–20mm; 10-20mm; +20mm; and +40mm.
With many of their customers operating in a more environmentally friendly manner, the company has seen a significant demand for recycled aggregates and waste-management services in the recycling, demolition and construction products markets throughout the south of England.
As well as increasing the production of recycled aggregates, the plant will also feed Collard’s production of ready-mixed concrete.
