QPA Health and Safety Awards
THE Quarry Products Association has launched its revamped annual Health and Safety Best Practice Awards Scheme for 2007.
Open to all-comers, this year’s scheme features a simplified entry form and brief guidance notes for entrants. The documents can be accessed via the QPA website or by clicking on the ‘Hot Topics’ tab on the Safequarry.com website home page and then typing ‘Awards’ in the keyword search box.
The deadline for the receipt of entries by the QPA is 28 March 2007. Entries from member and non-member companies/individuals are equally welcome. This year’s awards ceremony will be held on 19 October in central London.
Meanwhile, the QPA says the Safequarry.com website is continuing to build up its resources and now includes 350 items of best practice and around 80 innovation mini-videos. The database of incident alerts is also continuing to expand, as is the collection of toolbox talks, while the scope and variety of industry hot topics is enlarging progressively.
