Powerscreen return to Hillhead with stellar lineup of enhanced products
Powerscreen to unveil the latest in a series of new products at international quarrying and recycling exhibition
Powerscreen, one of the world’s leading providers of mobile crushing and screening equipment, will be unveiling the latest in a series of new products at the Hillhead exhibition on stand L10. They will demonstrate machines in the working display area as well as showcasing machines on their stand.
‘Powerscreen are eagerly awaiting the 2012 Hillhead exhibition as we have a number of enhanced products to showcase to our customers,’ said Damian Power, Powerscreen global product line director. ‘Traditionally, Hillhead has been one of the most anticipated exhibitions on the Powerscreen calendar for team members, distributors and customers, and we fully expect the 2012 exhibition to be one of the best. With the opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of our enhanced equipment and the volume of international visitors already registered, we’re looking forward to a successful Hillhead.’
Visitors to the demonstration area will see five machines working. The Powerscreen XA750S jaw crusher will be feeding the giant Powerscreen Warrior 2400 screen, while the Powerscreen XA400S jaw crusher will be working separately to showcase its new pre-screen feature. Finally, the enhanced Powerscreen XH320X impact crusher will be working with the Powerscreen Warrior 1400X screen.
Additional new product developments will be on display at the Powerscreen stand, including a Powerscreen XA400S jaw crusher, the Powerscreen XH320X and Powerscreen XH500 impact crushers, and a Powerscreen Warrior 1400X screen. Established models - the Powerscreen 1000 Maxtrak cone crusher, a dual-power Powerscreen Chieftain 2100X screen and the Powerscreen Warrior 800 screen – will also give visitors an overview of the comprehensive Powerscreen product portfolio.
Powerscreen XA750S
The XA750S jaw crusher is, according to Powerscreen, one of the most advanced and efficient tracked crushing plants on the market for large-scale operators. The XA750S is capable of producing high volumes of superbly shaped product at up to 750 tonnes/h (827 US tons/h). Key features include a live independent pre-screen, an unrestricted feed opening that maintains high production capacities and prevents bridging, a hydraulic closed side setting adjustment system and a hydraulic draw-back rod-retention system. User benefits include a hydraulically adjustable product conveyor for ease of transport and low running costs associated with the direct-drive crusher system.
Powerscreen XH320X
The XH320X is a mid-sized horizontal impact crusher designed to offer operators and contractors excellent reduction and high consistency of product shape for performance in quarry and recycling applications. With tracked mobility, the plant is capable of working in the most demanding environments and features a rapid set-up time, fuel-efficient direct-drive system and output potential of up to 320 tonnes/h (352 US tons/h).
Powerscreen XH500
The XH500 is the flagship horizontal shaft impactor. It is versatile, efficient and highly productive, offering excellent reduction and an output potential of up to 500 tonnes/h (550 US tons/h) in quarrying, recycling and demolition applications. The machine features a live independent pre-screen and full underbelt product conveyor as standard and an optional vibrating underpan. It is suited to contract crushing due to its high productivity and ease of set-up, operation and maintenance.
Powerscreen Chieftain 2100X
The Powerscreen Chieftain 2100X is designed for medium- to large-scale operators who require large volumes of high-specification products. The Chieftain 2100X is the largest model to feature a high-capacity hopper, belt feeder and radio controlled tipping grid. Key features include a patented hydraulically folding recirculating conveyor on the three-deck version eliminating the need for a crane on site and a two-bearing screen with adjustable screen amplitude and hydraulic screen angle adjustment.
The model to be displayed at Hillhead features dual power. This is a popular added option that gives users a choice between diesel and electric power. The additional electric/hydraulic drive system connects to an external electric power source to provide power for the screen. This option helps to avoid recent fuel price increases and addresses environmental requirements mandated by legislation. Dual power offers complete flexibility for the machine to work alone in remote locations in diesel mode or as part of a multi-machine line up in electric mode. Furthermore, the operator can choose diesel or electric as the power source through a fully integrated control panel.
Powerscreen Warrior 800
The Warrior 800 has been specifically designed for the small end user for whom versatility and transportability are of key importance. The machine is a multi-purpose heavy-duty incline two-deck screen, capable of stockpiling, three-way splitting or scalping before and after crushing units. Its highly aggressive screen can accept bofor bars, finger screens, woven mesh and punch plate.
User benefits include a rapid set-up time and ease of operation aided by hydraulic folding tail and side conveyors, rigid feed hopper sides and two speed tracks. Simplified slide out tail conveyor facilities aid media access and screen media changes with an output potential of up to 280 tonnes/h (308 US tons/h).
Powerscreen Warrior 1400X
Building upon the already well-established Warrior 1400 machine, Powerscreen say that the 1400X is set to seamlessly take the place of the Warrior 1400 as the market leader for this class of scalper. The Warrior 1400X is designed to provide improved performance, lower operating costs and easier serviceability. In addition, set-up and shutdown time is faster than its predecessor, which will be of particular benefit to contractors.
With reduced engine running speed and enhanced hydraulics, the 1400X offers quieter operation and a reduction in fuel consumption by approximately 15% in comparison to its predecessor. Improved versatility and design specifications are other key achievements of the Warrior 1400X, with the screening angle range increasing by 50% from four to six degrees. Standard stockpiling capacity on all conveyors has increased by 25-30%, but with the chassis riser option and the telescopic side conveyor option, the fines and mid-grade stockpiling capacity has more than doubled that of a standard Warrior 1400.
Powerscreen Warrior 2400
Specially designed for large-scale operators in the quarrying and mining sectors, the new Warrior 2400 is capable of handling larger feed sizes and output potentials of up to 800 tonnes/h (881 US tons/h). Featuring a heavy-duty incline screen with a high amplitude triple-shaft drive mechanism, a maximum feed size of up to 750mm3 on 2.5 solid density and the ability to separate materials at 300mm, it is suited to screening, scalping, two- or three-way splitting and stockpiling materials such as aggregates, topsoil, coal, construction, demolition waste and iron ore.
User benefits include a slide-out tail conveyor facility to aid media access and a load-sensing collection conveyor circuit to avoid blockages. Powerscreen say the Warrior 2400 is the ultimate solution for large-scale end users who require a high-performing versatile screener that remains easy to transport, set-up, operate and maintain.
