Powerscreen open new service centre in the Dominican Republic
Global expansion strategy sees new support centre launched in the Caribbean
POWERSCREEN customers in the Dominican Republic can now benefit from improved product availability and support thanks to a new support centre recently opened in Santo Domingo by longstanding dealers Powerscreen of Florida.
The company is keen to explore markets outside the US, having opened a customer support centre in Haiti, and with export sales now accounting for nearly 50% of the dealership’s annual revenue.
Key to strengthening Powerscreen’s presence in the Caribbean is the new support centre in the Dominican Republic. Under the recently formed company Power Caribbean, customers will be offered full parts inventory, servicing and a wider range of equipment for purchase or hire.
According to Powersceen of Florida, the market in the Dominican Republic market is booming. One customer, Constructora Hermanos Yarull, acquired 10 Powerscreen machines for work at Barrick Gold Quarry.
Company owner Pedro Yarull said: ‘Our relationship with Powerscreen of Florida started many years ago. They have proven equipment, excellent after-sales service and personnel who care about the success of the customer. Our Powerscreen products include a Premiertrak jaw crusher, Powerscreen Titan 1800 screen plants and Chieftain rinsers.’
Another satisfied customer is Ferreteria Pchoa who have recently bought a Chieftain 1400 screen and several other machines in the past, including a Warrior 1800 and 4242SR products.
