Poclain Hydraulics buy Comer Industries division
In December 2009 Poclain Hydraulics took a majority control of the hydraulic division of Comer Industries group. The production facility, which designs and manufactures axial piston hydraulic pumps and motors for mobile machinery manufacturers, is situated close to Modena in Italy, employs 91 people, and in 2008 generated over €15 million in sales.
The purchase is an opportunity for Poclain Hydraulics to enhance their product offering by presenting a range of small displacement axial piston pumps and motors alongside their products and systems dedicated to power transmissions. This expanded range will allow Poclain Hydraulics to better meet the needs of the construction equipment, agricultural machinery, handling machinery and urban vehicle markets.
The company’s new industrial subsidiary, Poclain Hydraulics Industriale Srl, will benefit from the expertise of a global sales network including 17 sales subsidiaries and over 150 distributors.
