Pioneer Pump to exhibit their largest range of pumpsets
Pump manufacturer takes their largest ever stand at Hillhead 2012
Pioneer Pump will be showing a massive vote of confidence in the UK quarry and mining markets by taking their largest ever stand to show off the largest number of pumpsets at Hillhead 2012 in Buxton, UK.
As the third most important show this year after Minexpo in Las Vegas and Electra Mining in Johannesburg, the Pioneer stand will show a total of seven different engine-driven pumpsets, the largest of which will be powered by a Cat C18 600hp engine capable of pumping almost 1000m3/h at pressures of over 10 bar. Pioneer say that this makes it the highest performing quarry dewatering pump in the UK.
Based on their ‘Rock & Rain System’ design, the 200CH pumpset will be joined by the 150CH and 100SH, powered by Cat C15 450hp and Cat C9 300hp engines, respectively, making up just a few of the 12 pumpsets available in the current innovative design.
At the smaller end of the range, the company will also be showing their popular 100SL and 150SL small, sound-attenuated canopy pumpsets, which combine market-leading hydraulic performance with compact packaging, leading to smaller environmental footprints and lower running costs compared to the competition.
Simon Ruffles, managing director at Pioneer Pump, commented: ‘Since employing a new UK & Ireland sales manager and a new regional sales manager, Pioneer Pump are ready to take on the quarrying market, now more than ever. We designed these high-performance pumpsets for the mining industry in Africa where heavy-duty equipment with extraordinary performance is required to maintain the mines’ water levels. But now with the rains that arrived in April, more and more quarry companies are looking for pumpsets that offer them the possibility to rapidly increase their flows, without the need to bring in extra pumps.
‘Pioneer Pump have long been present in the mining and quarrying industry, but since the recession, business in the UK has slowed down. However, we believe that there is a strong market for pumps in this country and, for this reason, we are looking forward to attending Hillhead and presenting our products.’
