Over two decades of success for Mixlance
This year Mixlance, the Derbyshire-based coating plant specialists, are entering their 21st year of production, which comes on the back of unrivalled success in the industry for their range of equipment and follows the company's successful European-funded project - The LIFE Environment Programme. Mixlance are the only company in the industry to have gained this recognition.
The funding received through this programme assisted Mixlance in the development of an improved environmental/energy-efficient range of batch-heater coating plants. In the last 12 months the company have redesigned, virtually from the ground up, all aspects of their equipment range to offer a new generation of innovative modular batch heater coating plants known as the 'Optimisation' range.
Based on current industry requirements and environmental legislation, Mixlance say the improved models are smaller, faster, quieter and cleaner than any rival plant. They also offer marked reductions in energy/fuel consumption over previous designs.
The new plants feature a sophisticated optimization package which offers:
Commenting on these latest developments, managing director Jed Smyth said: 'As a forward-looking company, we strive continually to innovate and respond to an ever-changing and increasingly demanding market. The current emphasis on energy reduction and environmental impact are all key features of the new plant, aptly named 'Optimisation'.'
Another progressive venture by the company is to offer a full technical consultancy alongside our established maintenance contracts for plants already in the field, thereby providing end-users with high plant availability on a fixed cost-per-ton basis.
Mixlance currently supply all of thebatch-heater coating plants in the UK and, with their new-generation product, say they are confident of maintaining this level of market share. The latest Mixlance installation to come on stream is an urban batch-heater coating plant for Tarmac at their Warrington site.
