Nooteboom introduce new access platform semi low-loader
Multifunctional three-axle semi low-loader features hydraulically height-adjustable floor as standard
NOOTEBOOM have announced the launch of their latest multifunctional, three-axle, hydraulically steered semi low-loader, complete with a hydraulic height-adjustable load floor for quick and safe loading on to the gooseneck.
The new, high-quality trailer meets all the essential requirements of the rental and construction industries, from durability and low-maintenance costs to low purchase price.
According to Nooteboom, some 40 TUV-certified lashing provisions are fitted in the load surface – spread out over four widths – so the load can be secured in virtually any position.
For optimal grip, the hydraulic folding ramps, load surface and hydraulic height-adjustable floor are equipped with a serrated and hot-dip galvanized steel grid. The powerful Superwinch electric winch, complete with radio-controlled remote control, ensures loading and unloading is safe and easy, even in extreme situations.
The dead weight of the hydraulically steered access platform semi low-loader is extremely low and, therefore, a very large payload is available within the legal transport limits as well as with exemption.
The hydraulically steered axles with a maximum steering angle of 45 degrees ensure that the trailer is extremely manoeuvrable, which means that loading/unloading in places where access is difficult will no longer be an obstacle. The steering system also delivers considerable cost-savings because the tyre wear is greatly reduced.
Thanks to the solid quality and strong worldwide brand image of Nooteboom, the trailer is expected to retain its value for many years. Conservation of the chassis, including corundum blasting, metal spraying, two-layer primer and two-layer spray paint, provides long-lasting protection against corrosion and gives the paint coating a superior glossy finish.
The new hydraulically steered access platform semi low-loader can also be specified in a version for road construction machinery and one for bulldozers. These are available with multiple axles and an extendible load floor. In these versions the steel grid on the load surface and ramps is replaced with a hardwood floor. Load surface width extension is also available as an option on the semi low-loader.
