New welding machines from Weldability-SIF

Two easy to weld manual metal arc machines now available from UK supplier

Weldability-SIF, the UK-based supplier of MIG, TIG, MMA, spot and oxy/fuel welding and plasma cutting machines, torches, accessories, consumables and personal protective equipment, have launched the ARC200S and ARC250S manual metal arc (MMA) welding machines.

The new portable, single-phase 230V or three-phase 400V AC MMA welding machines feature ‘fan on demand’ air cooling and thermostatic protection with the output current being controlled by a simple wind-in transformer using a handle located on the front panel.

The ARC200S is suitable for light sheet metal fabrication as well as for use in repair and maintenance applications. It is rated 200A @ 10% duty cycle with a current range of 60–200A and can be used with 1.6-3.22mm diameter mild steel electrodes.

The ARC250S is suitable for use by light-to-medium sheet metal fabricators as well as for repair and maintenance applications. It is rated 250A @ 10% duty cycle with a current range from 65–250A and can be used with 2.0-4.0mm diameter mild steel electrodes. For output currents in excess of 150A, three-phase input power should be used.

In addition to mild steel electrodes, both machines can be used with a wide range of electrode type, with the selection being dependant on the polarity and current requirement. Both machines are portable with a two-wheel undercarriage and supplied ready to weld with welding leads, earth clamp and accessories.
