New territory for Finning
FINNING International Inc have announced their appointment as Caterpillar dealers for Northern Ireland, with effect from 2 August 2010.
The company said it had reached agreement on the acquisition of certain assets from the administrators of McCormack McNaughton, the previous Cat dealership for Northern Ireland, for approximately £3.1 million.
Former McCormack McNaughton employee Sean Madigan has been appointed general manager of the Northern Ireland business, which will form part of a Finning UK and Ireland operation. In addition, discussions are said to be at an advanced stage with the receivers of the previous Caterpillar dealers in the Republic of Ireland, with a conclusion expected in the coming days.
