New Terex motor graders

Terex have unveiled a four-model range of motor graders — the TG110, TG150, TG190 and TG210 — weighing 11.5 tonnes, 14.5 tonnes, 18.7 tonnes and 21 tonnes respectively. All four machines are powered by Cummins engines, with a 4.5-litre unit in the TG110 offering 132hp (97kW) and 6.7-litre engines in the other three graders providing 163hp (120kW) to 229hp (168kW).

The machines use ZF Ergopower transmissions with six forward speeds. Customers can choose between tandem rear drive or all-wheel drive, where the front wheels are driven hydrostatically and a microprocessor applies drive to the wheels that are required, appropriate to tyre traction. The front wheels have 17° of lean angle and offer up to 45° of steering. In addition, the chassis can be articulated by a further 30° to turn the machines in restricted areas.

The operator’s cab has an integrated ROPS/FOPS structure and sits on isolating mountings to limit noise and vibration. Tinted safety glass, sliding doors on both sides of the cab and air-conditioning are standard across the range, and all service points are accessible from ground level.

The machines are available with a choice of front dozer blades, rear rippers and centrally mounted scarifiers to suit a range of applications. Terex say the two larger models are particularly suitable for heavy-duty applications such as quarrying and opencast mining.
