New Terex Finlay jaw crusher for demolition contractor
Cheshire Demolition turn to Finlay Central to meet the demand for recycled products
FINLAY Central, part of the Finlay Group, have supplied Cheshire Demolition with a new Terex Finlay J-1160 jaw crusher to help them meet the demands of customers wanting a quick turnaround for recycled aggregates and Type 1 MOT.
The quick set-up time, versatility and mobility of the crusher means the company, based in Macclesfield, is now well placed to meet the changing demands of the aggregates industry. The plant is specified with a multi tooth jaw liner, for a better shaped product and enhanced capability in processing recycled material down to 40mm.
One of the key features of the J-1160’s jaw is that it can also run in reverse, further ensuring better performance of ‘sticky’ material through the unit. After crushing, the product is sold to the local construction industry for sub-base material and roads.
Stan Swindells, co-founder of Cheshire Demolition, said: ‘Thanks to the J-1160’s high performance we are crushing material as fast as it comes in; it has a fantastic turnaround. We also have a Terex Finlay 883 heavy-duty screener from Finlay Central, which we sometimes use to screen the material first. Anything left over from that process sized 75mm or more is then sent to the crusher. Both the machines are helping us to meet the demands of our customers.’
Neil Partington, sales engineer for Finlay Central, added: ‘The J-1160 is helping Cheshire Demolition achieve high standards with their recycling, as well as meeting the fast demands of their customers, whilst not compromising on the machine’s longevity.’
