New submersible pumps from Tsurumi
Global pump manufacturers Tsurumi have launched a new pump in their popular LB series of small and robust submersible contractors’ pumps, which are suitable for a wide range of dewatering applications.
The new LB-1500 has a 1.5kW power rating, a 17.5m maximum head and a 440 litres/min maximum capacity. It is an extension of the existing LB range, which already lists four smaller models – two at 480W and two at 750W.
The LB-1500 will be officially unveiled at Bauma 2007 in Munich next month. During the week-long show visitors will be able to see the new pump first hand, along with other recent additions to the Tsurumi range, including: the upgraded HS3.75S, a 0.75kW pump with 3in (80mm) discharge; and the HSD2.55S, a 2in discharge, 0.55kW pump equipped with an agitator to pump slurry and sludge.
The addition of Tsurumi’s upgraded HS3.75S heavy-duty submersible to their ‘contractor’ pump range is allowing Maidstone-based specialist pump distributors Obart Pumps to offer a greater range of options for pumping requirements in tough conditions.
The HS3.75S unit is a portable, lightweight submersible, designed for handling by just one person that offers substantial increases in head and flow capacity compared to its predecessor.
The pump has a solid cast aluminium body, cast iron pump casing and an impact-resistant PVC strainer base for durability during robust handling. The HS3.75S’s urethane vortex impellor offers high levels of wear resistance in site applications where water contains sand and silt in suspension, thus maintaining performance and reliability. The pump also features an oil lifter to maintain seal lubrication while operating in any position.
Offered in 110V and 230V versions with flow rates of 310 litres/min and a maximum head height of 18m, the HS3.75S is available in manual or automatic configuration for fixed or unattended applications. The manual version weighs 19.0kg while the automatic model weighs 19.4kg. Both are supplied with a 10m heavy-duty power cable and have a 403 stainless steel shaft fitted with an ultra-hard-wearing silicon carbide double mechanical seal and a stirring device to reduce blockages.
