New spherical roller bearings

NSK’s new HPS series of high-performance spherical roller bearings have been designed to provide performance with twice the running life of conventional bearings of the same size and a maximum limiting running speed that has been improved by up to 20%.

To help reduce slippage and surface fatigue a special nitriding surface treatment has been applied to the pressed steel outer cage, which is said to significantly reduce wear in harsh operating environments.

NSK will initially introduce 42 sizes of HPS series bearings with outsize diameters ranging from 80mm to 260mm.
