GYS add two full-sized professional MIG welders to their range
GYS have announced the addition of two new full-sized professional SMARTmig’s MIG welders to their already popular and award-winning range.
SMARTmig 180 and SMARTmig 182 are two new single-phase, portable MIG welders designed and manufactured by GYS in their factory in France.
As well as being professional-grade welding units the two new machines also feature the innovative ‘SMART’ control panel introduced by GYS in 2011. The ‘SMART’ control panel simplifies the often complicated task of selecting the correct welding parameters to just three simple steps. Once the user has identified the metal type, thickness and wire diameter, the ‘SMART’ panel will indicate to the user the correct settings that are set by just two rocker switches and a rotary dial.
Suitable for welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium both machines will hold 200mm and 300m wire reels.
They offer a maximum capacity of 180A, weld 0.6–1.0mm wire, and will support a medium-sized gas cylinder. The SMARTmig 180 comes complete with a fixed torch, whilst the 182 benefits from a Euro Torch and offers 2-in-1 gas and no gas welding capabilities.
With list prices of £541.00 and £613.00 respectively, GYS say the new SMARTmig’s are competitively positioned.
