New reducers from Rockwell
"The Dodge Tigear-2 family of single-reduction, right-angle worm speed reducers have been designed to offer increased value in a cost-competitive product and to lower a user’s total cost of ownership."
"The totally enclosed, ventless sealing system in the Tigear-2 contains a factory-filled synthetic lubricant for a wide range of operating temperatures. Running cooler than other synthetics, it eliminates the need for routine oil changes. The sealing system also provides leak-free performance for extended periods and promotes longer seal life."
"The new gear geometry in the reducer delivers, on average, a 30% increase in output torque (up to 770Nm), allowing designers to choose smaller sizes for some applications without compromising service life. Rockwell say the Tigear-2 is the only single-reduction worm reducer that uses a tapered-adapter bushing system to virtually eliminate fretting corrosion on hollow-shaft applications. The new, easy-on/easy-off tapered bushing system means that there are no loose fasteners to misplace during installation, while a locking nut allows easy removal."
"The Tigear-2 is dimensionally interchangeable, on a size-by-size basis, with current Tigear reducers and other competitive models. A number of configuration options are available, including: quill input, separate input, and three-piece coupled input."
