New reducer from Rockwell

Rockwell Automation have recently introduced the Dodge Quantis reducer with twin-tapered bushings. This new bushing system option is available on both motorized shaft-mount and right-angle helical bevel products.

"The twin-tapered bushing feature, which was first introduced on the company’s Torque-Arm speed reducer line, provides easy on/off mounting for all reducer sizes. A tapered bore on both sides of the reducer’s output hub fits closely against a matching taper on the outer surface of the bushing. The twin-tapered bushings provide support on both sides of the reducer and deliver maximum torque and shock-load capability while eliminating driven-shaft damage and reducing wobble."

The bushing system also fits undersized shafts as the short-shaft bushing system is designed to accommodate customer-driven shafts that do not fully extend through the bore of the reducer.
