New Powerscreen crusher for Britaniacrest Recycling
Surrey-based company adds Premiertrak R400 mobile crushing plant to its equipment fleet
BRITANIACREST Recycling Ltd have once again shown their loyalty to the Powerscreen brand by purchasing a new Premiertrak R400 mobile crusher from distributors Blue London.
Designed for recycling, quarrying and mining applications, the jaw crushing plant features hydraulic release and a patented crusher overland system which, according to Blue, is suitable for recycling operations where uncrushable materials (eg tramp metal) can enter the in-feed. The 400 tonnes/h mobile crusher offers superior reduction capability and is economical to run, thanks to a highly efficient direct-drive system.
The machine also has numerous design and build benefits for both ease of maintenance and operational efficiency, including tracked mobility on site and a quick set-up time – typically under 30 min.
For Britaniacrest, the R400 mobile plant is processing around 3,500 tonnes of construction and demolition waste materials a week. The predominantly hardcore, concrete and demolition debris forms part of the waste stream that enters the company’s waste transfer stations.
The crushing process produces a variety of sized and specified end-products, including Type 1 and 6F2. One of the key features of the Powerscreen crusher is its ease of transportation, allowing Britaniacrest to utilize the machine on their site of choice, together with the high performance and environmental benefit of quiet operation.
Ray Foss Junior (pictured right) of Britaniacrest commented: ‘We’ve bought quite a lot of machines from Blue London over the years; both Powerscreen crushers and screeners, as well as Doppstadt shredders.
‘Apart from the proven excellence of these market-leading brands, we also have a great working partnership with Blue. We know we can rely on them right from the start of the purchasing process through to their impressive after-sales product support.’
