New partnership promotes safety and efficiency of plant crossings
SRL Traffic Systems partner with CLD Physical Security Systems to deliver pioneering plant crossing solution
SRL Traffic Systems have established an exclusive hire partnership with the UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier of security gates, CLD Physical Security Systems, in a deal that gives traffic managers of longer-term projects access to a pioneering haul route solution that promotes the safe and efficient plant crossing of public highways.
Europe’s largest manufacturer and supplier of mobile ITS (intelligent transport system) to the traffic-management, construction, utilities, and events sectors is now the exclusive supplier of a new integrated solution incorporating CLD’s RiseMaster HE fully autonomous solar-powered automatic boom arm barrier (patent pending) with SRL’s patented, award-winning* Haul Route PLUS mobile crossing system.
The robust surface-mounted RiseMaster HE features a continuous flanged post of high strength steel, making the new integrated solution suitable for longer-duration works. The barrier measures up to 8m so only one unit is required to cover the width of each crossing point. For safety, it also features LED strip lighting along the boom and is available with a skirt.
SRL’s Haul Route PLUS is the only plant crossing solution with integrated adaptive detection technology, incorporating mobile traffic signals that automatically respond to the actual flow of construction vehicles, rather than operating to set timings to accommodate the slowest plant. This increases efficiency and reduces carbon emissions caused by sitting vehicles. An all-red facility ensures that barriers stay open until plant is safely across the highway.
Haul Route PLUS incorporates variable message signs (VMS) and CCTV. All system components now benefit from solar/hybrid performance, which reduces the level of system maintenance required. Users can have confidence in a fit-and-forget solution, while the extent of on-site work is minimized as is the risk to personnel.
