METSO are to supply a complete stationary fine crushing and screening system to Norsk Stein’s Jelsa Quarry expansion in Norway. The delivery will be completed by June 2010.

The €27 million order comprises four gyratory cone crushers, eight inclined screens, a stacker conveyor, and a significant amount of conveyors. It also includes the engineering, erection and project management of the new plant.

Annual production at Jelsa Quarry currently exceeds 5 million tonnes, but after the expansion the targeted production for fine products will be 850 tonnes/h, in addition to existing plant production of 650 tonnes/h, increasing total production to more than 10 million tonnes per annum.
