New Komatsu excavator

In a move to strengthen their offering of long-reach equipment, Komatsu have introduced the PC340-7LC Super Long Front excavator, based on the PC340-7LC excavator for earthmoving and construction works.

The new machine has a maximum horizontal reach of 22,010mm and can accommodate a 0.45m3 bucket (working with a material density of up to 1.8 tonnes/m3). With a total machine weight of 41,700kg, it can accom-modate 700mm, 800mm or 850mm heavy-duty, low-maintenance track shoes.

Designed with a range of user needs in mind, it features an operator-selectable hydraulic flow control and adjustable presets for rapid attachment changes. It also has additional filters and accumulators for attachments and machine protection, a hydraulic pressure-relief control, automatic changeover valves and an option for attachment piping.

The PC340-7LC Super Long Front excavator is supplied with Komatsu’s SpaceCab, which with its spacious interior and ergonomic amenities, provides a comfortable working environment. High-capacity air-conditioning pressurizes the sealed cab, helping to create a dust-free environment, while the cab’s damper mounts ensure low vibration levels.

The machine’s turbo-charged, 180kW (242hp), air-to-air, after-cooled Komatsu engine meets all Stage II emissions standards.
