New Kiverco waste-processing plant for NWH Group
Company boosts C&D waste-recycling capacity and reduces carbon emissions with £1.1 million recycling facility
SCOTTISH recycling and waste-management operators the NWH Group have invested around £1.1 million in a new construction and demolition (C&D) waste-processing plant at their Blaydon site in Newcastle.
The latest KS520 plant – designed, supplied, and installed by Kiverco – replaces an existing trommel-based waste-processing facility being repurposed elsewhere in the business.
More importantly, it will allow NWH to divert more waste from landfill sites and recover more valuable materials, helping them become a more profitable company and an environmentally friendly and responsible organization committed to delivering sustainable best practices and reducing its carbon footprint.
The new KS520 plant also highlights Kiverco’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, featuring modular technology that offers end-users the flexibility to adapt to changing waste materials and market demands.
Gavin Money, managing director of the NWH Group, commented: ‘The new processing plant reflects our commitment to expanding our presence in the northeast and investing in our Blaydon site. Drawing from our experience with similar technology at our Edinburgh super-plant, we've tailored this solution to suit our Newcastle installation. We're excited about the capabilities, efficiencies, and broader benefits it will bring to the region in terms of construction materials recycling capabilities.’
