New Doosan equipment for JPE
Midlands-based aggregates supplier acquires new Doosan wheel loaders and excavators
WOLVERHAMPTION-based JPE have taken delivery of five new Doosan wheel loaders and excavators from local Doosan dealers Murley Construction. JPE have purchased the South Korean firm’s DL450 and DL420 wheel loaders and DX225LC and DX380LC crawler excavators for use in their recycling and waste-handling operations across the Midlands.
Steve Birch, managing director of JPE, said: ‘We were very impressed by the five-machine package offered by Murley and Doosan. The Doosan range of equipment provides the performance and specifications required for the large majority of the work we carry out and this has been supported by excellent back-up from Murley.’
The new DL420 wheel loader is being used for loading work at a JPE operation in Tamworth, Warwickshire, where the company runs a washing plant producing a range of fully washed recycled aggregates, including sand and 40mm, 20mm and 10mm gravels from fully sustainable sources. Steve Birch commented: ‘With a bucket capacity of 4.0 cubic metres, the DL420 is the perfect machine for this job and offers an superior combination of high productivity, good handling, power, serviceability and durability.’
The two new Doosan DL450 wheel loaders have been purchased for general material-handling duties in the stockyards and lorry loading areas across JPE’s Midlands locations, offering a maximum bucket capacity of 4.5 cubic metres and a static tipping load with bucket of 19.95 tonnes at maximum reach with a straight frame.
The new DX225LC and DX380LC crawler excavators are currently being used for recycling work on a major earthmoving project in the region. The smaller 21.5-tonne machine offers flexibility, convenience and low operating cost in a compact design with superior digging performance, while the 37.9-tonne DX380LC provides extra versatility for JPE with its ability to cover all types of heavier placing, loading and breaking applications.
