New director general at Liebherr-France SAS
Christophe Sanchez succeeds Martin Schickel, who is retiring after 44 years with the company
LIEBHERR Group have announced the retirement of Martin Schickel (left of photo) after more than 44 years with the company. He is succeeded as director general of Liebherr-France SAS by Christophe Sanchez, the person who replaced him as director general of Liebherr-Location-France SAS in June 2020.
The historic Liebherr site in Colmar, France, which was founded 60 years ago, is responsible, among other things, for the development and production of the group’s crawler excavator range.
Mr Sanchez (right of photo) joined Liebherr-France SAS in 2002 as export manager for Italy, Spain, and North America. In 2007, he became sales manager for the industrial and electric excavators produced at the Colmar site, and from 2012 to 2020, he was general director of Liebherr EMtec Italia SpA. His new appointment commenced 1 November 2022.
