New air separator launched at RWM 2010
Designed and built in the UK, Force 8 has been developed to separate recycled materials according to their aerodynamic drag. Its primary application is in cleaning up recycled aggregates but can also be used for cleaning wood, metals, plastics and compost.
Force 8 incorporates a vibrating screen to remove fines and any oversize before material is fed into the air separation chamber. The lighter product is lifted up by a controlled stream of air and pneumatically conveyed away. The heavy product falls through the separation chamber onto an elevator for discharge.
The separator will be officially launched at the forthcoming RWM 2010 exhibition in September.
