Modified mobile batching plant

Mek-Tek Ltd have introduced a breaker-truck variant of their mobile batching plant (MBP), specially designed for the recycled aggregate market where bridging and product blockages can interrupt continuity of discharge and affect the mix. The truck has been introduced to meet demand from existing customers, some of whom were involved in the testing and fine-tuning of the remotely operated breaker system.

Bob Prince, Mek-Tek’s chairman, commented: ‘Customers who use recycled aggregate were experiencing blockages that could only be cleared manually, so we were asked to help. While the automated breaker arm solves the problem of blockages, the main benefit comes from the remote control, which makes it possible for the operator to position himself where he can watch for product hold-ups and clear blockages by simply pushing a button.’

The breaker-truck variant, which is only available on 10m3 MBP models, is equipped with a number of safety features as standard and can be supplied with a range of operations that allow operators to provide third-party accreditation for customers.
