Metso renew distributor agreement with Garriock

Exclusive Lokotrack mobile equipment distribution agreement set to continue in the UK

METSO have renewed their exclusive mobile equipment distributor agreement for the UK with Garriock Bros Ltd.

Garriock Bros, who have been distributing Metso’s mobile products in the UK since 2005 when they became the official Scottish distributor, saw their distributorship extended in 2011 to include England and Wales.

 

Adrian Wood, Metso’s head of distribution, Aggregates Business Line, said: ‘As a partner, Garriock offer a world-class sales and support organization throughout the UK; they have invested heavily in facilities, tools and people to ensure that the Metso Lokotrack brand is well maintained.’

He continued: ‘Garriock offer the customer base a large number of services, including: quickly delivered new equipment from their large and varied inventory, held in both Edinburgh and Coventry; high-quality, fully refurbished second-hand equipment; rental; lease to buy; high-level service and technical support; and genuine OEM spares and wears.

‘We have a truly great partner in Garriock Bros and look forward to working in unison for many years to come.’

George Garriock, managing director of Garriock Bros Ltd, said: ‘We are delighted to continue our partnership with Metso. Our sales success is attributable to the fact that we are selling the best designed modern equipment in the world.’

Garriock’s journey started in 1975 and they became active in the crushing and screening business in 2002 when they took over a contract crushing operation near Edinburgh.

Today Garriock operate 10 different UK-based divisions, providing a diverse range of civil engineering, house building, plant hire, quarry operations, contract crushing, machine sales and window manufacturing services, and employing around 160 people.
