Metso Outotec boost presence in Portugal and Angola
Company signs aggregate crushing and screening equipment distribution contract with Ascendum
METSO Outotec and Ascendum Máquinas have signed a distribution contract concerning Metso Outotec’s aggregate crushing and screening solutions. Effective April 2021, Metso Outotec’s aggregate equipment, crusher wear parts and spare parts are available through Ascendum Máquinas in Portugal and Angola. In addition to equipment and parts, the contract includes service, commissioning and technical support.
The contract with Ascendum is expected to strengthen Metso Outotec’s presence in the countries by improved service level through local support, parts and equipment supply. Ascendum are well-known by construction customers and Metso Outotec say they foresee good opportunities to develop their mobile and portable equipment business, in particular, in the construction sector with Ascendum’s dedicated local resources.

The equipment covered by the contract are Metso Outotec’s Lokotrack and Nordtrack track-mounted crushing and screening units, NW-Series portable crushing and screening units, as well as stationary screens and crushers. Ascendum Máquinas have four branches in Portugal and a dealer in Angola to be announced later.
