Major achievement

ON 13 September 2004 Tarmac Northern’s Swinden Quarry in the Yorkshire Dales National Park reached the significant milestone of four years without a lost-time incident. Staff at the site believe this is the first time the unit has achieved such a milestone in the quarry’s 200-plus year history.
