LiuGong and Dressta combine Asia Pacific office
LiuGong Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore to become new office for Dressta Asia Pacific
LIUGONG Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of global construction equipment manufacturers LiuGong Machinery Corporation, will now house the Asia Pacific arm of Dressta Co. Ltd at their Singapore headquarters in Tuas Loop, following LiuGong’s acquisition of Polish company HSW’s civil engineering machinery and distribution arm, Dressta Co. Ltd, in January 2012.
‘The successful integration of both businesses marks a tremendous opportunity for LiuGong to achieve further growth in this region,’ said Joseph Wong, who has taken on the role of general manager of Dressta Asia Pacific, while retaining his current position as customer service director of LiuGong Machinery Asia Pacific.
Following the acquisition, LiuGong renamed the Polish business LiuGong Dressta Machinery. The company manufactures crawler dozers wheel loaders, loggers, pipe layers, conveyor belt shifters, motor-graders and customized landfill machines at its plant in south-west Poland.
LiuGong, who are among he world’s top 20 construction equipment manufacturers, have nearly 320 dealers in more than 130 countries, and Dressta’s distributor network will complement the Chinese manufacturer’s global dealership footprint.
‘The combined distribution network will allow us to bring the expanded product line to more dealers, more efficiently, and offer better support for both LiuGong and Dressta customers,’ said Mr Wong.
The 45,000 sq ft facility in Singapore will serve as LiuGong and Dressta’s sales and marketing hub, parts distribution centre, technical support, and training centre for south-east Asia, Australia, Korea, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and other islands in the region.
