LCH help minimize the impact of quarrying

LCH Generators are helping Tarmac to protect the environment during work at their Douglasmuir Quarry near Glasgow.

Tarmac recently extended their quarrying activity at the site and selected suppliers according to their ability to adhere to strict environmental considerations. LCH are providing a range of generators, including a 100kVA unit, to power submersible pumps and a 4,700-litre fuel tank with distribution board and cables. Protecting the environment is a top priority for LCH, who hold an ISO 14001 standard for environmental management.

LCH are containing potential areas for spillage or contamination through high-specification equipment including a double-bunded fuel tank and generator. Both the fuel tank and generator will hold any fuel or oil spillages within the equipment and prevent ground pollution. The canopied super-silent generator also minimizes noise levels.
