Kubota enhance diesel engine range

Manufacturer introduces four new models featuring diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) technology

KUBOTA, a total solutions provider in the manufacture of oil- and water-cooled diesel and duel-fuel engines, have enhanced their engine range by introducing four new models that feature diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) technology.

The new DOC engines, which will be available to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across the globe from January 2015, build on Kubota’s existing range of engines that utilize diesel particulate filters (DPF) as an after-treatment device to reduce emissions.

Daniel Grant, Kubota’s business development manager for engines, commented: ‘These four new DOC models have been specifically developed and designed to provide our customers with additional engine options and flexibility in choosing the right engine for their application.

‘There’s no doubt that awareness regarding conservation of the environment is increasing and, as a result, emission standards for industrial engines have become more stringent.

‘Kubota’s innovative DPF engines have raised the bar in this area and continue to go from strength to strength, reducing emissions and their impact on the environment. By expanding our engine range and introducing these DOC models, OEMs will now have even more choice.’

Kubota’s DOC engine models, available from 36.5kW to 54.6kW, meet and exceed European Stage IIIB and US EPA Tier4 compliance.
